On this page, we're going to go over the best practices on how to give yourself the best chance to be selected for the National Team.
Selection Process:
1. You must be a registered Tiger to apply.
2. Event and the application submission deadline is announced via email and social media
3. Once the application deadline is reached our National Team Program Director organizes the applicants for the selection committee.
4. During the selection week the committee reviews the Tiger player profiles.
5. Invites and registration details are sent out to the players who were selected.
6. Players must register to accept the position.
Below are tips and best practices when creating your player profile resume. You can start building your player profile on the Tigers' VIP.
What if I don't know my VIP username? No worries, send us a contact form.
Think how MLB, Minor League, or College teams show their rosters. They have a picture of the player front facing the camera.
More information the better. We want to see your best scores. If you have a link to a showcase company or a camp evaluation this is a plus. It's not necessary, but it helps with verifying your numbers.
This is by far the best way for us to see your skills in action. So, what should you include?
a. Hitting: batting practice vs overhand or a machine
b. Pitching: place the camera behind the you or the catcher. Show us your pitches.
c. Fielding: the best videos are on the field, but we do accept seeing your defensive actions indoors.
d. Catchers: show us your blocking and throwing actions.
Bonus: If you have in-game footage, please add it!
